Building Bridges: Empowering Youth Workers for Global Impact
The second edition of the Building Bridges Newsletter highlights how youth workers are at the heart of change—guiding, mentoring, and empowering young people to navigate today’s challenges.
This summer, the project reached a milestone with an intensive training for facilitators in Dar es Salaam (Tanzania), where youth workers from across partner countries gained skills in digital facilitation, intercultural dialogue, and civic engagement. These efforts prepare them to lead the upcoming virtual exchanges involving 1,000 young people from Europe and Africa.
Key project actions include:
- A comprehensive eLearning curriculum on soft skills, EU Youth Goals, and the UN SDGs.
- Virtual exchanges connecting youth across six countries through dialogue and role-play simulations.
- A sustainable train-the-trainer model ensuring long-term impact and inclusivity.
By investing in youth workers, Building Bridges is laying the foundation for a more equitable, engaged, and empowered generation—one that embraces diversity and shapes the future with confidence.

Building Bridges project: Training Event in Tanzania
An exciting training event is set to take place in Tanzania, bringing together youth workers and facilitators for an immersive learning experience as part of the Building Bridges project. The program will begin with a welcome session and a comprehensive project presentation, followed by key discussions on Youth Work and Virtual Exchanges, Understanding and Managing Diversity, and Designing Youth-Friendly Activities. Participants will engage in collaborative group work. The training will also include team-building activities, exploration of digital tools, and interactive sessions on Conflict Prevention and Resolution in Virtual Contexts. Participants will also explore European Youth Goals and Youth Participation Frameworks and deepen their understanding of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The event will conclude with a reflective outdoor session on Youth Work, a city rally in Dar es Salaam, final group presentations on key facilitation principles and digital engagement techniques, and the closing evaluation.
