The latest edition of the ENHANCE Project newsletter is now available, capturing a powerful moment of collaboration, learning, and transformation across Europe and the MENA region.
At the heart of this issue is the third Training Camp, held in Amman, Jordan, from 23 to 27 January 2026—a five-day intensive experience that brought together partners, practitioners, and youth workers committed to tackling gender inequality and empowering girls and young women.
Building skills that matter
The Training Camp focused on non-formal education as a practical and impactful approach to inclusion. Through interactive sessions, participants explored methods that go beyond traditional teaching—approaches rooted in participation, empowerment, and real-life engagement.
From team-building exercises to theatre-based activities and hands-on facilitation practice, the programme created a safe and collaborative space where participants could experiment, reflect, and grow. As highlighted in the newsletter, these methods are not just about learning—they are about transforming perspectives and building confidence.
From learning to local action
A key strength of the ENHANCE project lies in its ability to turn knowledge into action. During the camp, participants worked in national teams to design concrete local initiatives tailored to their communities.
This shift—from theory to practice—ensures that the impact of the project extends far beyond the training room. It equips youth workers with the tools to create meaningful opportunities, particularly for girls and young women, fostering leadership, participation, and inclusion at local level.
Learning from the field
The experience was enriched by field visits to local organisations, offering participants first-hand insight into how inclusion and empowerment are implemented in real contexts.
One of the most inspiring moments came during the final day, when non-formal education methods were tested with local high school students. For many, it was the first time boys and girls participated together in such activities—an important step towards breaking barriers and promoting equality.
What comes next
The journey does not end in Amman. The project is now entering a crucial replication phase, where partners in Jordan, Egypt, and Morocco will adapt and implement the training model within their own communities.
This phase is essential to ensuring long-term impact. By transferring knowledge into local initiatives, the ENHANCE project is creating a ripple effect—empowering communities, strengthening youth work, and promoting inclusive participation across regions.
The next transnational meeting, scheduled for June 2026 in Skopje, will mark another step forward in consolidating results and shaping future actions.
Moving forward together
ENHANCE continues to demonstrate how cooperation across countries and cultures can generate meaningful change. By combining expertise, sharing practices, and investing in people, the project is building a stronger foundation for inclusion and equality.
As this newsletter shows, non-formal education is more than a methodology—it is a catalyst for empowerment.
Stay connected, follow the journey, and be part of a growing movement committed to inclusion, participation, and positive change.
